Ingredients
Blondies
- 1 ½ Cup All Purpose Flour
- ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon Ground Cloves
- ½ Cup Melted Butter - Cooled
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar - Lightly Packed
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 Large Egg - Room Temp
- 2 Apples - Peeled and Diced
- 2 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice - if using a sweeter type of apple
Glaze
- ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon Cloves
- ½ cup Powdered Sugar
- 2-4 tablespoon Cream or Milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350, grease and line an 8x8 and set aside.
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves together and set aside.
- Cream the butter and brown sugar together, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add egg and vanilla, mix again until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add dry ingredients in 2 batches, until almost mixed in.
- Squeeze the lemon juice onto the diced apples then fold into the batter.
- Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes, be sure not to over bake. Your knife should have crumbs on it when you pull it out, it will set up more as it cools to become the perfect blondie consistency.
- While the blondies cool mix all of the spices and powdered sugar together and slowly add the cream or milk until desired consistency is reached. Drizzle on top of the blondies and top with nuts and ice cream if desired!
